Acarina
The journal Acarina is a semiannual peer-reviewed journal publishing papers on all aspects of acarology. The journal was established 14 years ago by the Zoological Museum of the Moscow State University as an English-language journal for acarologists from the former Soviet Union, making their articles more accessible to the World scientific community. Now Acarina receives many papers from acarologists around the Globe and it has been virtually transformed into an international journal. This transformation has required substantial changes in our policy: We have invited many well-known acarologists from different countries to the advisory board, modified the author guidelines to conform to current international standards, created a new website, and are moving towards an electronic version of the journal. The editorial board invites you to publish papers in our journal. The benefits of publishing in Acarina include: 1. Fair and constructive peer review 2. No page charges 3. Rapid publication times (six months) 4. Large worldwide readership 5. Electronic manuscript submission 6. Acceptability of large papers (up to 130 journal pages) 7. Authors receive 20 hardcopy reprints and a PDF-file of the article. The authors also receive permission to freely distribute the file among colleagues and upload it to a personal web site 8. Publication on high-quality paper 9. High visibility online is expected in the future Sample papers can be downloaded from the Acarina's new website is http://insects.ummz.lsa.umich.edu/acarina/ |
